This pandemic had an unprecedented impact on humanity. In tough times during the COVID waves, Adamya Chetana delivered on its commitment to serve the society. During the lockdowns in the first COVID wave, volunteers themselves ran the Adamya Chetana kitchen. Every day, 20,000 food packets were distributed to the needy in Bengaluru. More than 7,00,000 meals were supplied, particularly to the migrant workers and north Indian students. During the second wave, 16,000 food packets were supplied every day for 40 days. In addition, 70,000 meals were supplied every day. For 40 days, COVID warriors including doctors, nurses, security personnel, staff at the crematoriums and COVID patients were served food at their place every day.
ಮನುಕುಲವನ್ನೇ ಬೆಚ್ಚಿಬೀಳಿಸಿದಂತಹ ಮಹಾಮಾರಿ ಕೋವಿಡ್ ಅಲೆಯ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಅದಮ್ಯ ಚೇತನ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು ತನ್ನ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿತು. ಮೊದಲ ಹಂತದ ಕೋವಿಡ್ ಅಲೆಯ ಲಾಕ್ ಡೌನ್ ಕಠಿಣ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಯಂ ಸೇವಕರೇ ಅಡುಗೆ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿದರು. ಪ್ರತಿದಿನ 20,000 ಆಹಾರ ಪೊಟ್ಟಣ ಮಾಡಿ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಜನತೆಗೆ ವಿತರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. 28,000 ಆಹಾರದ ಪೊಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನು ವಿತರಿಸಿತಲ್ಲದೇ 7,00,000ಕ್ಕೂ ಅಧಿಕ ಊಟವನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸಿತು. ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ವಸತಿ ರಹಿತ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಉತ್ತರ ಭಾರತದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಈ ಆಹಾರ ವಿತರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಕೋವಿಡ್ ಎರಡನೇ ಅಲೆಯ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ 16,000 ಆಹಾರ ಪೊಟ್ಟಣ ಮತ್ತು 40 ದಿನಗಳವರೆಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿದಿನ 70,000 ಜನರಿಗೆ ಊಟವನ್ನು ಅದಮ್ಯ ಚೇತನ ಒದಗಿಸಿದೆ. ಕೋವಿಡ್ ಸೇನಾನಿಗಳಾದ ವೈದ್ಯರು, ದಾದಿಯರು, ಆರಕ್ಷಕರು, ರುದ್ರಭೂಮಿ ಸೇವಾಕರ್ತರಿಗೆ, ಕೋವಿಡ್ ಸಂತ್ರಸ್ತರಿಗೆ ಊಟವನ್ನು ಅವರಿರುವ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲೇ ತಲುಪಿಸಲಾಯಿತು, ೪೦ ದಿನಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಸತತವಾಗಿ 6,500 ಊಟಗಳನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
